1. Background:
Jinan iron and steel company ltd. was found in December 2000. It is a oversize steel complex organized by Jinan Iron and Steel Group General Corporation as main organizer, Combined with Laiwu Iron and Steel Group Limited Company, Shandong Gold Group Limited Company, Shandong Jinling Iron Ore and Shandong Fireproof Raw Material Company.
Company has a whole technique system from raw material, sintering, pellet, Iron making, steelmaking to steel rolling. With a market oriented independent system from produce to sell. It mainly produces and sells iron and steel series products Prime product include carbon structure hot rolled plate, Grade A and B hull plate, High strength 09 MnNb anti sea water corrosion hull plate, AH 32 and AH 36 High strength hull plate, 09 CuPTiRE resistance to elements steel plate, High quality carbon hot rolled plate for Automobile production, Hot rolled steel for frame, Boiler plate, Pressure vessel Board, Diamond plate, Hot rolling reinforced steel bar for concrete, Round steel etc.

2. Difficulties and solutions:
Complexity of test equipment and test process requires robust management software;
A daily test involves using of many different types of equipments such as spectrum analyzer, CS analyzer and NHO analyzer; multiple machines may be used to complete a test. Under such circumstances, a well integrated laboratory management system is of great necessity.
In one year period, concerted efforts made by Inpro’s R&D team and implementation team paid off. Inpro completed developing 20 modules which are now being used for data collection for large-sized equipments, as a result, ERP, MES, SPC can be linked up with Inpro LIMS, the previous quality management software is completely replaced.
3. Evaluation:
